History
David Peel established Peel Land
Surveys in 1996 producing orienteering maps for schools and
orienteering clubs. Since then the business has grown rapidly
with turnover increasing four-fold. The work has developed and
now includes walking, cycling, trailquest, mountain marathon
and location maps. Peel Land Surveys has produced maps for many
high profile events including the British Orienteering Championships
2001 and 2002, JK 1998 and 2000, The Scottish 6 Day 1999 and
The Karrimor Mountain Marathon 2000 and 2001.

Dave
Peel
Dave was a member of the British
Orienteering Team from 1988 until retiring from international
competition after the World Orienteering Championships (WOC)
in 2001. During this time he ran in 4 WOCs in Sweden 1989, Germany
1991, Great Britain 1999 & Finland 2001. He has also competed
in 27 World Cup (WC) races. His best results were 33rd in WOC
in Sweden and 13th in WC in New Zealand. He helped set up the
UK Cup Orienteering series in 1997, which he won in 2000. He
is also a successful adventure racer and competed in the 2000
Hi Tec final in USA. He is a member of South Yorkshire Orienteers.
