Miry Mountain
Bike Orienteering map holder
The Miry is a state of the
art rotational map holder designed specifically for mountain
bike orienteering and adventure racing. It is simple to
use, sturdy and lightweight.
The Miry attaches to your
handlebars with alloy clamps that are tightened with allan
keys. The board itself is kept stable and vibration free
by a large fibre ring. The tension of rotation of the turntable
can be adjusted to suit the individual. The Miry map holder
is constructed from a lightweight alloy, making it virtually
unbreakable.
With a clip-on compass and
map fitted to the turntable, the map can be kept orientated
to North, making navigation much simpler. It was the map
holder of choice at the MTBO World Championships 2002 in
France.
